Minneapolis Beer Garden Along Basset Creek

Located in northwest Minneapolis, Utepils Brewing creates iconic brews with a unique local taste.

The name "Utepils" is a Norwegian word that encapsulates "the longing and anticipation for the first beer enjoyed in the sunshine." With a name like that, it was only natural that they would turn to Southview Design to create an outdoor space for their customers to enjoy their suds in the sun.

A dozen picnic tables create an atmosphere of community and camaraderie. The central fire bowl is made from an old piece of equipment from the Glenwood mills, and gives the space a historic and industrial flair.

Feeling private? There are a several intimate flagstone patios for more secluded moments. Around the perimeter, garden beds and fresh sod create a lush border. Plus, the beer garden is dog friendly with several bowls of water ready.

This community backyard is destined to be the site of many future weddings, Oktoberfests, toasts, and celebrations.
